Endangered -Tiger

Abstract
Tigers are the large cats with prominent, black or brawn, stripes. They are common in jungles of India and Java, but range as far as the snowy, forested mountains of Siberia.
Legal and illegal killing(over-hunting, poaching for skin, and also its bones, flesh and blood for so-called medicinal purposes) has, been a major cause of the tiger¢¥s decline.
Totally protected by law in wild: Every government, with technical and financial aid from IUCN/WWF, launched "project tiger", a conservation program designed to protect the tiger, its prey and the environment on which they depend.
Each area has a management plan and the broad aims are to eliminate poaching and reduce other forms of human disturbance and environmental modification to a minimum.
A detailed etho-ecological study of the tiger and its prey is being undertaken in wild.
Included in appendix 1 of the convention on International Trade in endangered species of Wild Fauna and flora, 1973; trade in these animals between acceding nations is subject to severe restriction, trade primarily commercial purpose is banned.
